vshost32.exe has stopped working

Hello,

When attempting to run any of the demos from a new project I get the error "vshost32.exe has stopped working". It is hard to find exactly when it occurs since it is not an exception. It appears to be happening when the demo is calling the GameWindow constructor (base(...)).

Running the demos from the Examples.exe work fine though.

I am using Visual Studio 2010 on Windows 7.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Colin

Something is crashing the visual studio debugging host. Needless to say, this shouldn't happen.

Please compile OpenTK in debug mode and try again. The "application output" window in visual studio should provide a trace of what is happening - please post this here so we can understand which function is crashing and why.

Additionally, please make sure that you are using up-to-date video drivers. A few, specific driver releases from Ati and Nvidia have known issues with OpenGL (drivers from February 2011 and later should be fine, unless something has regressed in the recent weeks).

What video card are you using?

Thanks for the response. I updated my video drivers (nVidia GTX 570) and it fixed the problem.

Thank you for the help.
