Making ulta hi-res pictures


I'm making a software, where i use OpenTK to generate a very high res image of a shape, and then process its geometry. Higher resolution mean better results, so i would like to use higher resolutions. However video cards nowadays have a limit of 8096x8096 (dx10), or 16384x16384 (dx11) of the texture (and viewport) size, therefore if i'm drawing very large objects, the quality wouldnt be as good. I'm plannign a tile based method, where i will swap the tiles and render the image in more steps, but before doing that, i would like to ask if there is an easier solution to this problem.
